01 November 2015 - Cadogan Hall, London

English Schools' Orchestra with Cordelia Williams Cordelia Williams with the English Schools' Orchestra

This year's concert was once again held at Cadogan Hall in London on Sunday 1st November.

We were delighted that Cordelia Williams joined the English Schools' Orchestra to play Rachmaninoff's Piano Concerto No. 2 in C minor.

Cordelia Williams has been acclaimed as a pianist of “great power and delicate sensitivity” and this was demonstrated in a spectacular performance of Rachmaninoff's most popular Concerto.

The Orchestra also gave performances of Shostakovich's Festive Overture and Prokofiev's dramatic 5th Symphony.

The course was held during the half-term week, Wednesday 28th October to Sunday 1st November at Dame Alice Owen's School, Potters Bar.

Full Programme
  • Dmitri Shostakovich - Festive Overture
  • Sergei Rachmaninoff - Piano Concerto No. 2 in C minor with Soloist Cordelia Williams
  • Sergei Prokofiev - Symphony No. 5 in Bb major
